Alaska Black Bear Hunts

On our Alaskan Black Bear hunts, we maintain a 95-100% success rate. These are six-day hunts and we can take up to four hunters on these hunts. We average 7 ft. with bears ranging from 6.5 ft to-7.5 ft. Some exceptional few are nearly 8ft. We hunt these trophies in the same fashion as the Alaskan Brown Bear, in both the spring and fall, using the same methods and techniques based from our 80ft. yacht. Unlike the majority of other operations in Southeast Alaska who have one guide use area and are confined and limited to it and its beaches and bays.

Our three Black Bear areas encompass the majority of Southeast Alaska’s finest and most productive trophy Black Bear habitat known as Guide Use Unit 3, which includes Kuiu Island and Kupreanof Island. Having three areas gives us the flexibility to move around when needed. We also have the ability to use two closed old logging road systems via motorized land transportation on the two different islands. This at times is a huge advantage, and can be the difference in the success of the black bear hunt or not. Being able to use the road systems, as well as the beaches and bays, makes Parker Guide Service a successful operation. Whether using the roads, beaches, or both, each night is spent on board our Luxury Yacht. With warm beds, a full time chef, and all the amenities of home.

Cancellation Policy

In case of failure of Client to make any of the hunt payments or in case of cancellation by Client, this contract shall at the opinion of Outfitter, be terminated and Client shall forfeit all payments made pursuant to this contract. If however, Client can provide a replacement acceptable to Outfitter, who in fact takes the place of the Client, Client is responsible to get payment for the hunt directly from the hunter replacing them. If no replacement is found, the Client forfeits the hunt deposit. WE STRONGLY SUGGEST CLIENT GET FULL TRIP INSURANCE COVERAGE FOR THIS REASON. There are several good, inexpensive options found online for you to choose from.
